We are very pleased to welcome you to our museum.

The museum is located in the center of Paderborn between the cathedral and the city library. The outdoor area with Carolingian assembly hall, herb garden and fountain pool is always accessible outside regular opening hours.

How to find us

On foot
From Paderborn main station about 25 minutes towards the city center.

By bus and train
From the main station, take bus lines 2, 4, 8, 9 in the direction of "Innenstadt/Rathaus/Dom".

By car
A 33: Exit "Paderborn-Zentrum", direction "Innenstadt/Dom". Please use the parking lots in the city center.

By bike
The museum is registered in the NRW cycling network on the Internet. Further information can be found at: www.radverkehrsnetz.nrw.de.

It is located on the Kaiser Route, the Römer-Lippe Route, the Wellness Route and the Alme Cycle Route. The museum is signposted for cyclists in the Paderborn district. There are no bicycle stands directly in front of the museum. Cyclists are therefore requested to use the area in front of the museum grounds.

 

Accessibility
Unfortunately, the museum is currently not accessible for wheelchair users due to the historic nature of the building.

Turesday to Sunday and on public holidays:
10.00 to 18.00

1st Wednesday a month:
10.00 to 20.00

adults: 4,50 €
reduced: 2,50 €
group (more than 16 people): 4,00 €
children (0-17 years): free

Holders of the North Rhine-Westphalia Volunteer Card receive a 50 percent discount on admission.
Holders of LWL/LVR MuseumCards receive free admission.

Public guided tours with different thematic focuses are offered on Sundays from 3 pm. Further information can be found in our event calender.

Wheelchair users
Due to the historical nature of the building, the museum is unfortunately not currently accessible for wheelchair users.
