City archaeology of Paderborn
In the city archaeology department, you can literally open a window into Paderborn's past. Discover how it was possible to lose possessions with loaded dice or what treasures the Paderborn mayoral families amassed in the 16th and 17th centuries.
As new findings from current excavations expand our knowledge of the city's history, a special exhibition is put together in the foyer to provide context to the knowledge gained.
The city archaeology department in Paderborn is part of the LWL Archaeology for Westphalia.
