We are currently in the process of digitally recording finds from the museum and making them available to both researchers and visitors as 3D objects. You scan a QR code with your cell phone or tablet at the showcases in the museum and view the object from all sides and find out even more information. Our collection of 3D objects in the museum is constantly growing and will gradually be integrated into the museum.

You can explore the exhibition on your own (and in english) with our new multimedia guide. On the approximately one-hour tour, you will discover the highlights of our permanent exhibition - the banquets in Charlemagne's hall, the magnificent jewelry and swords of the inhabitants of Westphalia and the evidence of Paderborn's urban development. You can either borrow a device from us or download the guided tours as an app from the Appstore or Google Playstore - also in the museum via the free Wi-Fi - onto your own smartphone.
